Straight River Cable began in 1993 to capture an outsourcing trend in area manufacturing businesses. The company's capabilities range from wire cut and strip and terminal crimping to the large cables used in automotive, marine and argricultural mechanical equipment. They also build test equipment and electronic assemblies. They feature a staff with 30 years combined experience in the electronics manufacturing industry.

Prior to obtaining a SBA PCLP 504 loan, Jerome Sexton was working from a smaller building. The loan allowed him to construct a new facility for his growing business.

This project resulted in the creation and retention of 11 jobs and an increased tax base to the local community.
